The Gentle Waltz
Over the Rainbow
After graduating from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Music, I have delved deep into the Vancouver music scene. I have been involved with upwards of ten groups spanning multiple genres from blues, funk, soul, rock, country, pop, and hip-hop. After extensive gigging, I have returned my focus to my dearest musical love, jazz. My current direction sees me playing jazz gigs throughout the lower mainland including lounge gigs, private functions and conferences. I also maintain a busy schedule supporting many local bands and various musical groups. I hope to entertain communities, family, and friends and inspire the livelihood of those around me through my music.
I love to play jazz! I take pride in my high professional standards and I am happy to accommodate a wide range of performance environments. I am as comfortable in a concert hall as I am in a hotel lounge or wedding. My ambient jazz sounds create a magical and memorable atmosphere.
I find inspiration all around me. Since childhood, I have been drawn to the piano to express myself. Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, and Ahmad Jamal have been major influences in the pursuit of my professional jazz career. As a young man I attended the University of Victoria School of Music and received a Bachelor of Music. Today, I continue to study both traditional and contemporary jazz, constantly striving to better both my playing and composing talents.
